Re: Happy New Year!

My New Year's Resolutions? 1. Stop being bound by the past. (Grrr, stupid former boss - sometimes I'd like to ... er ... give him a choc-chip cookie. Yeah!) *polishes halo, whistles, taps foot innocently* :) 2. Pay absolutely no attention to sports on the news. (Wait, I do that anyway. Never...

Re: The Failed Sierra Adventure Games!

Ha! Love the "change letters" angle. Bing's Quest I found especially amusing. Torin's Massage : Help Torin relax after his grueling adventure by planning a spa day for him. Select from hot stone, aromatherapy, deep tissue or shiatsu massages. Some are more effective on him than others, and the bette...

Re: Merry Christmas!

We could call you Semi-Happy or just Semi for short. ;) Works for me :) SHP, if you're looking for somewhere cold and quiet ... may I present Melbourne? ;) It's usually very cold in wintertime, but in other seasons it fluctuates - it might be cold for 2-3 days, but then it'll heat up again for 2-3 ...

Around here "SHP" is an acronym for this site.
Should I change my username to prevent any confusion?

Re: Merry Christmas!

Haha. I come from a small town of about 6,000 people, so that's kind of an apples/oranges question. There's really no comparison. I grew up used to cold and quiet, and now I'm surrounded by heat and noise. Even in the 'burbs its busier than I was ever accustomed to. I don't go into the city that oft...

Aw man, it's going to be -1 degrees F where I'm going... you're more than welcome to take some of our cold! :P
My family lives in Maine, near the Canadian border. We're always wanting to do temperature swaps.

Re: Merry Christmas!

Merry Belated Christmas! I hope everyone wore comfy sweaters and drank eggnogs by the TV fireplace. I'm sure sweaters would've been very welcome up north, but it was a bit warm for them in the southern hemisphere. Had the AC on during the day and we saved cooking the turkey until after sunset, once...

Larry Christmas : Help our Leisure suited sleazeball navigate the ho-ho-holidays, and earn extra cash by having him become a mall Santa. Re: Advertising goes overboard ... yes, once again ...

Hey, SHP! I had no idea you were in Sydney. Nice! I'm south of you, down in Melbourne. ;) I agree, "Coles Radio" is really annoying. I pity the poor Coles workers who have to put up with it. I hope to visit Melbourne one of these days. We have friends down there so hopefully next year or so...

Re: Advertising goes overboard ... yes, once again ...

Wow, that's very blatant of them. I rarely go into Woolworths, we primarily stick to Aldi. Occasionally we stop off at Coles, but I'm not crazy about most of their products. "Coles Radio" is so annoying!

Re: Al Lowe ventures into his attic...

Interesting. I've seen posts on other forums where people have mused whether or not Activision even understood that they owned SCI code. Apparently they do.

Re: A Game Of 20 Questions.

I fear one of my answers may have generated some confusion. Without giving too much away, it certainly can be classified as an adventure game, but some may see it differently.
