Re: The Official Welcome Thread
The first time was bad enough, but about the worst thing lost was just JWise's #2 spot. (hey Tawm, you planed the nuke, didn't you)

Re: Official Sierra Boards
Have not heard from jafa since then. I am hoping that he joins this board. He belongs on a Sierra tech board.

Re: Torin's Passage.
I didn't like the cartoony style of KQ 7, either, but that was more because it seem to be out of keeping with the series. Cartoony styles fit Al Lowe games.

Andrea, I forget. Did you have the floppy or CD version of the game?

Re: Torin's Passage.
I would hardily recommend the game, too. I have run across the game a number of times. It doesn't seem to be that hard of a game to find. If I see a copy, I'll let you know.

Re: Ringworld
I've read and enjoyed Return to Ringworld. If you like Niven you would like it.

Re: Best Sierra's Musical Score
<BRAG MODE> My wonderful iPod Touch 32GB, yes... it's a gorgeous iPod, so easy to use, such sleek and beautiful design. It even has Wi-Fi; I can use the MAPS application to check a route; I can email on the go; I can watch movies on it; but best of all, I can put so much music onto it and access it...

Re: Best Sierra's Musical Score
I don't have them linked because I didn't have All of the MP3s uploaded when the Help Pages were on Tawm's site, but now that I have the space I can upload them, now. So as a treat for the SHP members: The Gabriel Knight Mysteries Sound track and The Sierra Soundtrack Collection You will need the Re...

Re: Favorite Inca Game and Why?
They were one of the first attempts to merge an action game with an adventure game. I don't think that it was nearly as successful of a hybrid as the QfG games were with adventure and RPG.

Re: Favorite Gobliiins Game and Why?
One thing I would mentioned about the Gobliiins games is that while the floppy versions do great in DOSBox, the CD versions suffer from the same issue as do most of the Coktel Visions games. They do not work well outside of real DOS with the real MSCDEX. I believe that Coktel Visions took advantage ...

Re: Ringworld
Yes, I still have the CDs. The 2nd one is better than the 1st, even though the 1st is closer to Niven's story. On a side note, Halo is a rip of Niven's idea. The suggestion of this angers some Halo fans, even tough the Halo developers flat out admit they took the idea from Niven. They are usually pe...
