Re: Sorry I missed it, but...

Thank you! And our Thanksgiving is pretty much what you just described. Other staples are sweet potato casserole and green bean casserole. I'm a big fan of pecan pie. Everybody has their own traditions. One of ours in recent years is to watch the National Dog Show after the Macy's parade. I'm not e...

Re: Sorry I missed it, but...

...I just wanted to wish all our American cousins a happy (if somewhat belated) Thanksgiving. :-) I hope it was a good one! :-) I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but what was your Thanksgiving like? I'm aware that traditional Thanksgiving fare includes turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce or pie. How do...

My playthrough

Just a quick update on the current "Choose My Next Adventure" winner. I am on Act V right now. So far it's pretty good. It is set up differently from other adventure titles. Something that the game makes clear. It makes it difficult to tell how I am progressing or if I am missing things. But the sto...

Re: Choose my next adventure

So I have 2 for Colonel's Bequest, 1 for Phantasmagoria and 1 for Willy Beamish, so Colonel's Bequest it is! I will probably end up doing Dagger of Amon Ra immediately afterwards.

Well Phantasmagoria is on here twice...

So... I'd still go with Colonel's Bequest, first, on the list you have there.

Oops. Fixed. It should be Phantasmagoria 2.

Re: Choose my next adventure

Having just completed Freddy Pharkas, I am now ready to start my next adventure. So pick a title from below of games that I have not played yet. Special thanks to GOG for letting me add Heart of China to the list. Polls will close Sunday around noon. The Adventures of Willy Beamish The Black Cauldro...

Re: Heart of China & Rise of the Dragon on GOG

Just picked up Heart of China, filling another hole in my library. I honestly know next to nothing about this game, other than its existence. It was never really on my radar. I'm not even sure what people think about it.

Re: Who Is Who? It's time to guess!

No one's guessed me correctly yet :). Though through process of elimination, it shouldn't be hard at this point, as most have been identified. I haven't looked at anyone else's guesses, so I can only eliminate those that have revealed themselves. But, I think there was a give-away in the A to Z gam...

Re: Started playthrough

And I just finished the playthrough with the CD version. Great voice acting. They cast pretty much all of the animation "regulars" from the time. Cam Clarke did a great job as Freddy with the overly self-important delivery. As far as I could tell, most of the script was intact from the text version....

Re: The MASQ Games.

They were all kind of fun. I'm not really a music person, so the lyrics ones were kind of tricky. I enjoyed the murder game, and I think the sped up rules worked the best. It might be fun if there was some kind of reward/penalty to it. Like the "victim" PMing a clue to the "murderer" or something. T...

I don't really know people too well here so these are kind of wild guesses:

Re: Break The Spine.

Finally finished my re-read of Secret of the Dragon and now re-reading book 3 of the series, Rage of the Dragon . And then finally read the 4th (and final) book of the series (which I've not read, and why I re-read the entire series from the first book again, so everything's fresh in my head, since...

Re: Started playthrough

And I just finished. Great game. Very funny. I had a hiccup early on that I mentioned. I also used a hint with the gas cylinder near the end. I got hung up on the wrong train of thought. Final score was 979 of 999. Next up is the replay using the CD version.

I'm also interested, but I'm not sure if people are that familiar with me either.
