Re: King's Quest by the Odd Gentlemen (Trailer inside!)

The final chapter has been made available for download a few days ago, so the game is now finally complete. I'm still working it right now.

Re: Manhunter (Fan) Website.

Very good. I never played "Ancient Art of War", but I knew of it from a Broderbund catalog. I don't think I knew at the time that it was a classic. But Sierra mentioned that the Murrays developed AAoW on Manhunter promotional materials. It's on the back cover of Manhunter: New York. So I guess they ...

Re: Manhunter (Fan) Website.

Nice work. It's a shame to see the page go. It probably was the only Manhunter resource out there. I noticed that the game history page seems to be missing.

And it is amazing that Evryware is still around after all this time.

Re: SIERRA Games on GoG.com -

It's nice to see a good number of the Sierra bundles make it on the Top 25 sales chart this weekend:

16. QFG 1-5
20. SQ 4-6
21. SQ 1-3
23. KQ 4-6
25. PQ 1-4

Re: What the hell is going on with LSL1: Reloaded?

When I mentioned running as an administrator, I meant that the settings on the game should be run as an administrator, which means hunting down the game executable. So go to C:\{wherever Steam is installed}\Steam\steamapps\common and find the folder with LSL1 and then find the .exe file. Right click...

Re: What the hell is going on with LSL1: Reloaded?

You can adjust the DSR setting in the NVIDIA control panel. Normally enabling it is just fine. But I've come across a few examples where having it enabled causes problems. I think by default it is disabled, so I doubt this is it.

Re: What the hell is going on with LSL1: Reloaded?

Have you tried changing the settings to run as administrator? (Note: don't actually have the game. Just throwing this out there.)

Does your video card have DSR enabled? If so, try disabling that?

King's Quest - Chapter One on sale

For anyone interested or on the fence for the new King's Quest game, it's now on sale on Steam. 90% off ($0.99) is a pretty good deal. Note that this is for the first chapter only. Chapter Two was also released recently.

Re: How many can YOU name? ;-)

I think they're called Provinces in Canada. I was in Germany a few years ago and on the news they were asking younger people (high school age roughly) questions like "How many states does Germany have?" and "What does BRD and DDR stand for?" Most couldn't get them right. BRD=Bundesrepublik Deutschla...

Re: Create BIN/CUE Image

Thanks for the suggestions. I went with IsoBuster. It seems to work pretty well making BIN/CUE images. I went with it since it has some data recovery options. I have a few burned DVDs that I am trying to rescue.

Create BIN/CUE Image

I was wondering if anyone could recommend software to make BIN/CUE images of CDs. I've looked at PowerISO, but I've read that some people had problems with bundleware. I've used MagicISO (free version) in the past without any problems, but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions before p...

Re: King's Quest: A Knight To Remember (Discussion w/Spoiler

No posts yet? I'll start. Just some observations, no spoilers. I just finished a few days ago, and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. It's actually a pretty good game. The beginning had me worried at first. It felt like you barely needed to interact to advance. You just moved Graham arou...

Re: Manhunter (Fan) Website.

Probably the only one in existence. Interesting interviews with the creators. I think he jumps to a few conclusion in the game summaries though. It was a long time ago, but I think this page (or a previous incarnation of it) was where I first learned that the third game was supposed to take place in...

Re: King's Quest by the Odd Gentlemen (Trailer inside!)

It's available for preorder from Steam, GameStop and Amazon. Does anyone know if it will be available from GOG?
