Re: Cool little Sierra find...

Very cool read. Is it me, or does Ken look really dour in that last picture. I remember way back in Interaction Magazine someone writing in that they thought his profile picture looked too "corporate". I think after that they replaced it with a cartoon. Incidentally #2 - how difficult is Codename: I...

Re: Toys of your childhood...

So toys that we don't have any more. Otherwise I would put up examples of my (modest) Transformers collection, but this brings back memories: s-l640.jpg A Peanuts Sno-cone maker. Actually, there's a pretty good chance it's still around somewhere collecting dust. The funny thing is that some company ...

Re: Happy Advent! And...

One thing I learned some time ago: never order the chicken. I'm serious. Whenever I've had a company holiday dinner at a hotel ballroom, the chicken dish has always been horribly dry. Every. Time. I don't know why. Maybe it has to do with the way the staff has to prepare so many all at once? Get the...

Re: Star Wars / Star Trek Discussion (SciFi In General)

I am surprised any of the cast could deliver these lines with a straight face. I'm struck by the stupid dialogue and cheesy action. :| I think DeForest Kelley was especially heroic in this episode. "Where are you going to look for Spock's brain?" That's professionalism. The whole point of the episo...

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

Another issue I've heard about is changes made to the aspect ratios of some series. Simpsons fans are upset about this. I wonder how pervasive it is. Well, I can tell you: X-Men: The Animated Series, Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends and Gargoyles are all in their original ratio. Fortunately, I have...

Re: Star Wars / Star Trek Discussion (SciFi In General)

"Spock's Brain" is generally considered the worst episode of the Original Series. During the mid-80s, there used to be numerous paperback collections of articles from Trek fanzines, and being the pre-Internet / pre-TNG era, I devoured them all (still have them... somewhere). One of the articles I r...

Re: Did anyone else pick up Disney+ Streaming?

In less scary news but still annoying, the version of Star Wars on Disney+ has yet another edit of the Han/Greedo shooting scene. Now Greedo says "Maclunky" for some reason just before the shooting starts. How much more can they screw with this scene?? lol I've heard that this was George Lucas' doi...

I think that Cornfed is tassieboy......... mainly because he was late to the game and Cornfed showed up late. I think that Interrobang is me because, well, it IS me............................................................................. I think that Khelgar Ironfist is BBP. This is mostly a gue...

Re: The "Too Many Games, Not Enough Time" Problem.

I'm working my way through "Obduction" right now, but I keep getting sidetracked. Whenever GOG has a sale, I pick up some of the classic titles that I never played before. Like the Ultima series or Zork (I got them just recently). The problem I always have with older games is getting used to the pla...

Re: Question re: SQ series

Speaking of Christy Marx, I tried playing Conquests of Camelot too, back in the day, and was always stuck in the duel with the Black Knight. :( It was painful. So I gave up. It was too bad, but I just couldn't get through it. :( Same thing happened to me with CotL ... I kept getting stuck in the bo...

I'm sorry to hear that. I've had to do contract work myself and I've never liked the employee/non-employee limbo they put you in.
