Description
First introduced on October 1, 1986[2] Princess Rosella is the protagonist of King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella and King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride. She also has a non playing roll in King's Quest III: To Heir is Human and King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow.
Before King’s Quest IV was released, word leaked out that Graham would have a heart attack and might die. Fans were upset enough to write in, asking to save Graham. I wanted King’s Quest IV to have some pressure applied to you: a timed game, taking place over a 24-hour period, so you roam around during the day and eventually it turns to night. I don’t remember other games using the same scenes at night; it looked creepy.

In King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella She became the main character in one of the first video games to have a female protagonist. Citation Required[4]
Roberta Williams[5] wrote:When I was designing Perils of Rosella, I was told by all the guys at my company that no guy is going to want to play from a woman's point of view. I said, ""There's a lot of women out there who would play this, and I don't think that men will mind. The game did extremely well. Afterwards we did a survey asking our fans if they minded playing the other gender. Most of the male respondents said, ""I don't mind playing a female at all, as long as it's fun. But the women said, ""I would prefer to play a female.
Rosella only has a small non-playing role at the end of King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow. In King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride she plays one of the two protagonists, a game that switches back and forth between Rosella and her mother, Queen Valanice.
