A font resource is a collection of characters for printing text on the screen. All the text you see in an SCI game is made up of font resources. Whether the text is on the menu, on the screen, or in a message box, it's all made up of font resources. Fonts can be edited with the font editor.

The fonts contain 126 (0-125) characters. The chars can be up to 255 pixels high, but the file size is limited to 64kb, so you could not create a complete font that is entirely 255 pixels high.

Font resources are 1 bit (use two colors). 1 draws a pixel, 0 is transparent. In the editor, 1 and 0 are represented by black and white.
