Audio Problems

The Police Quest Collection may have some audio problems.

Problem - Poor Audio Quality:
The music in some of the games is of poor quality.

Solution #1 (preferred):
Install the DOSBox update.

Solution #2:
Open the "RESOURCE.CFG" file in the game's folder and change

soundDrv = GENMIDI.DRV

Note: the folder must already have a GENMIDI.DRV file in it. It will not work to copy it from another folder.

Game Specific Bugs

There are a couple of bugs the game has that is not speed dependent.

Problem - Original Police Quest game is missing:
The original Police Quest game was not included with this collection.

Solution:
Although the game cannot be downloaded legally, if you already own the game, it can be added to the collection by copying the files to a folder on your harddrive and running the DOSBox update from the same folder.
